Dr. William T. Curry is the first African American attending physician in the Department of Neurosurgery and first ever full professor at Harvard Medical School. In 2004 Dr. Curry completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Mass General and currently dedicates himself to providing surgical care for patients with benign and malignant tumors of the brain, skull-base and spine. In 2005, Dr. Curry received the Neurosurgery Research and Education Foundation Young Clinician's Award. Today he is the co-director of the Mass General Neuroscience department, director of Neurosurgical Oncology in the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and a professor of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School. #BlackHistoryMonth
